Worldview Weekend: Brannon Howse Addresses the Problem with Christian Cultural Crusaders & the Dinesh D’Souza Scandal

Worldview Weekend

Using the Dinesh D’Souza story, that has now gone viral including being reported on Foxnews.com, as the backdrop, Brannon address the following issues: Topic: A speaker that calls himself a Christian worldview speaker or claims to engage in Christian apologetics but does not address theological and Biblical issues such as ecumenicalism, the heresy of the Church of Rome, and the exclusivity of Jesus Christ is what Brannon believes is really just a culture warrior calling himself a worldview speaker or apologist. Topic: Dinesh D’Souza states on his website that “I had no idea that it is considered wrong in Christian circles to be engaged prior to being divorced, even though in a state of separation and in divorce proceedings. Obviously I would not have introduced Denise as my fiancé at a Christian apologetics conference if I had thought or known I was doing something wrong”. This is his level of Biblical understanding and discernment and yet he is a popular Christian author and speaker and until today the President of a Christian college? Topic: In August of 2010 Christianity Today reported that Dinesh was chosen to be the President of King’s College even though he said he did not want to “renounce” his Catholic history. The fact that evangelical leaders today refuse to renounce or denounce the false Jesus and false gospel of the Church of Rome and its ecumenicalism is why a Counter Reformation continues to this day and why so many are confused as to what is really the true, Biblical gospel of Jesus Christ. How can one claim to be committed to Christian apologetics and not be willing to renounce the heretical Church of Rome? How is that defending or contending for the faith? Topic: What does God say about divorce? How can some culture warriors claim to defend marriage as being between a man and a woman when so many evangelical leaders seem to not take marriage vows seriously or do not seem to see divorce among their peers as something God hates? Topic: Would divorce rates drop among evangelicals if churches took seriously church discipline? Why is church discipline not mean but actually loving?
